etra Pak box is a high-tech packaging product. In developed countries such as Germany, there is a large net work to recycle Tetra Pak boxes.
In China, over 10 billion Tetra Pak boxes were consumed in 2007, and the quantity is expected to grow at an annual rate of 10% - 15%.
However, China has so far no companies or organization recycling Tetra Pak boxes on a large scale basis.
As the plastic composition of Tetra Pak boxes is non-biodegradable, Tetra Pak boxes when not recycled cause serious environmental problems in China, taking up land fill space and contaminating soil and water. |
